Joint Research Center for Fashion and Clothing Culture
In 2008, Bunka Gakuen University was chosen by the Ministry of Education,Culture, Sports, Science and Technology to establish a “Joint Research Center for Fashion and Clothing Culture.”
Fashion culture is a field of academic study that is not only related to the study of humanities and social science but also deeply connected to fashion science and technology. Our center lets researchers take advantage of our valuable resources - books, fashion items, audio & video materials and such - in order to gain important results in their collaborative research and promote Japanese culture in and out of Japan.
The Center is placed in Bunka Fashion Research Institute, entitled by“Joint Usage / Research Center”, an Japan-wide research center, by the Ministry during 1.10.2008~31.3.2013
